SATRA solings expert travels to China

SATRA’s solings specialist, Mike George, recently spent a week visiting Chinese factories which produce vulcanised boots and shoes. While there, he was made welcome at Niceriver (Dongguan) Shoes Factory Ltd, Paolai Knitting Mfg Co Ltd and Dongguan HouJie Santun Cheng Yu Shoes Factory. Mike was also pleased to visit Kingmaker Footwear (Zhong Shan) Co Ltd and new SATRA member Chun Xiang Rubber Manufacturer.

In addition, Mike spent some time working with the testing staff at SATRA’s new office and laboratory premises in Dongguan, helping to finalise the training and procedures for testing the oil resistance of industrial safety footwear soles. This will enhance the local service offered to SATRA members in this footwear sector.
