New managing director for Lectra in Japan
Rikako Shinonaga has many years of experience in strategic and operational marketing.
Lectra has announced the appointment of Rikako Shinonaga as the company’s new managing director for its Japanese subsidiary. Ms Shinonaga’s new role is part of Lectra’s strategy to strengthen its presence in Japan. The France-based company supplies a variety of integrated technology solutions which have been designed for industries using soft materials, and it has been present in Japan since 1985 when its Osaka office was opened. Lectra’s Japanese customers are now served through a 32-strong team based in a number of locations around the country, including Aichi, Fukuoka, Fukushima, Iwate, Okayama, Osaka, Tokyo and Yamagata.
Ms Shinonaga joined Lectra in 2004 and most recently worked in marketing and human resources. She holds an MBA in Marketing from the USA’s San Diego State University, and has gained more than 15 years’ experience in strategic and operational marketing within several Japanese and American companies, including Procter & Gamble and Accenture.
