‘Partner’ mentality good for development

Michel Bisson, chief executive and chairman of Quebec-based safety and occupational footwear manufacturer STC Inc, took advantage of a European trip to visit SATRA’s Kettering headquarters. While there, he met SATRA experts, discussed recent advances in the organisation’s footwear testing services and saw demonstrations of SATRA test methods. He also took a tour of the chemical laboratory and other analysis facilities.

“STC Footwear Inc has been a member of SATRA for more than 15 years,” remarked Mr Bisson. “Whenever we call them, we always have the same great support. My visit was in line with that – they were quite flexible, yet very organised. I got a lot out of that time at SATRA. I really felt that the customer is in the centre of SATRA thinking, not the other way around as we see from time to time with other companies. As I was mentioning to a European customer, SATRA is more than just a certification body, it is truly a partner in our development team,” he continued.
