Piccadilly invests in stitching efficiency
SATRA member Piccadilly – one of Brazil’s leading fashion brands – is preparing for the installation of the SATRA VisionStitch system. This is the first of SATRA’s efficiency systems to be implemented in South America, and highlights a growing demand for production efficiency.
Founded by Almiro Grings, Piccadilly began producing just 12 of shoes pairs per day in 1955. The company has since grown to produce over 50,000 pairs per day, and it employs more than 4,000 staff across southern Brazil. With an emphasis on fashion, innovation and comfort, Piccadilly has a global presence in 90 countries, with products available from over 7,000 retail outlets.
Piccadilly’s interest in SATRA VisionStitch came as a result of SATRA’s presence at the recent FIMEC show in Novo Hamburgo – click here for a report on the event.
