Expanding LaCrosse appoints new executives
Eighty new members of staff have been recruited to work in the Danner factory.
According to USA-based LaCrosse Footwear Inc, an additional 80 employees have been recruited for its Danner factory east of Portland International Airport since last year. These new jobs are claimed to be a direct result of the rising demand for Danner products.
LaCrosse Footwear has also announced plans to open what it calls a ‘lifestyle concept store’ in Portland for its Danner boot brand. The store will house its ‘Made in USA’ styles, and focus on the Stumptown lifestyle collection.
The company has also appointed three new key members of staff. Robert Sasaki, who joined LaCrosse Footwear last December as an executive vice president, has been promoted to the role of president. Mr Sasaki had worked at Nike since April 2003 in a variety of finance positions, including senior finance manager in the company's Asia Pacific headquarters. In addition, Craig Cohen has been appointed vice president of sales and marketing, and Steve Belatti will be senior director of product. Both Mr Cohen and Mr Belatti previously held executive management positions at LaCrosse Footwear.
