Key appointment to develop SATRA’s global business
Former SATRA Divisional Manager Christine Powley-Williams has a new role in the organisation.
SATRA has made a new appointment to further develop its worldwide commercial interests. Christine Powley-Williams, previously a divisional manager with responsibility for SATRA’s consumer products testing and certification activities, has been promoted to assistant director (commercial).
With a background in leather, footwear, personal protective equipment, furniture and clothing testing and certification, Christine has considerable experience of developing business within a membership organisation framework.
Commenting on her new role, Ms Powley-Williams said: “As a divisional manager at SATRA, I gained a real understanding of SATRA’s consumer products activities and developed strategies to support and grow this side of the business. I am looking forward to applying this commercial knowledge to the business as a whole and integrating our sales and marketing activities to make them more efficient and effective.”
“I’m delighted to welcome Christine to this new role,” said SATRA Chief Executive, Austin Simmons. “She applies a great deal of energy to all she does at SATRA and this, coupled with her vision of where the business is going, will be a real asset for the company.”
