Dedicated to Asian shoemakers
Introducing the staff members working to provide excellent service for SATRA customers and members in China.
As a membership-based organisation, SATRA realises the importance of providing an excellent level of service. In order to offer personal attention to new and existing customers based in and around China, SATRA has established a team located in Dongguan, led by Asia Business Development Manager, Paul Vaughan.
In line with this, customers are welcome to visit SATRA’s Dongguan facilities to consult and receive assistance with their specific business requirements. In addition, members of the SATRA team often visit customers’ factories and offices to discuss their individual processes and products and to explain how SATRA can help.
Now that the SATRA safety footwear laboratory in China is fully operational, the membership team is endeavouring to introduce the facility’s full capabilities to all members and customers.
SATRA’s Dongguan office is a one-stop shop to which customers and members in Asia can send their products. In addition, a number of technical seminars and training courses are held there. These events are presented in the boardrooms by SATRA experts and local members of staff to ensure efficient communication with delegates.
Each year, the SATRA team visits many tradeshows and exhibitions to showcase SATRA’s services, and meet both new and existing customers. As in previous years, the China membership team will be working hard during 2014 to provide excellent customer service and develop business throughout Asia.
The team
Sales, marketing and membership consultant Beatrice Chen joined SATRA two years ago, having previously worked in the footwear industry. She assists customers and members in mainland China, and is fluent in both Chinese and English – a great asset to SATRA and highly appreciated by customers.
Edric Ding began working for SATRA in January 2013 after gaining experience in banking. Also fluent in Chinese and English, he mainly works with customers and members in the PPE sector.
Paul Vaughan started his career with SATRA in October 2010 as European business development manager. In January 2013, Paul was appointed to oversee membership in China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and Taiwan.
Lucia Ye joined SATRA in October 2012 as an assistant to the technical office. In August of this year, she transferred to the membership office, where her fluency in Chinese, English and Japanese enables her to be of assistance to many Asia-based companies.
Vivien Hsieh has been with SATRA’s China office for many years, where she has served as a membership consultant. She has a wealth of knowledge in a variety of industries, and has gained considerable experience in footwear manufacture and design processes.
