A&E Threads learns about SATRA VisionStitch
SATRA China was pleased to welcome David Hixon, vice-president for global technical support of American & Efird (HK) Ltd (A&E), and his colleague Xia Pong, during their recent visit to SATRA’s Dongguan facility. A&E has grown into one of the world’s leading thread providers since it was established in the USA in 1891. The company now has 33 manufacturing centres and 78 distribution points in 44 countries, and it has been established in Asia for over 30 years. Mr Hixon and Mr Pong met SATRA’s principal consultant for factory stitching operations, Ray Wisken, who presented a demonstration of SATRA VisionStitch operative training and efficiency-improvement package, which has been designed for stitching room operations.
Mr Wisken will be visiting China again in the near future in order to conduct a number of stitching seminars and training courses for SATRA members. While in China, he will also be available to visit member factories to advise on stitching procedures and to demonstrate the SATRA VisionStitch system.
