Lanxess subsidiary to increase soling material production
Expansion of Bond-Laminates’ Brilon site will boost Tepex production.
Bond-Laminates GmbH, a wholly-owned subsidiary of speciality chemicals producer Lanxess, is to expand production capacity for its Tepex lightweight plastics, which are used for football boots solings, as well as in the automotive and electronics industries. The company’s Brilon site in Germany will be enlarged by 1,300m2 – approximately 75 per cent of the current area – by the summer of 2014. The expansion will include a new production hall, supplementary storage areas and office space. Bond-Laminates was founded in Brilon in 1997 and currently employs around 100 people. Lanxess acquired the company in September 2012.
