Crocs achieves laboratory accreditation
Moulded shoe manufacturer Crocs has successfully gained SATRA laboratory accreditation for its facility in Shenzhen, China. Based at one of its principal supplier factories, the laboratory has now been fully operational to SATRA’s high quality standards for six months. A recent visit to the laboratory by SATRA auditors confirmed that the laboratory manager, Halo Zhao, has maintained an efficient and high-quality testing operation.
Crocs Asia has manufacturing facilities in many countries and demands a high standard of quality control in these supply factories. To this end, many of these also have SATRA-accredited laboratories to ensure consistency of Crocs’ footwear from all sources of supply. The competence and expertise of Crocs’ laboratory staff means that customers can be assured that the quality control testing of incoming materials and outgoing products is conducted to high standards of reliability and consistency.
Crocs Inc was founded in 2002 and has headquarters in Colorado, USA. In June 2004, the company purchased Foam Creations in Canada and its manufacturing operations, to secure exclusive rights to the proprietary closed cell foam resin called Croslite.
