More safety boot certificates for Wayne Plastics
Wayne Plastics, based in Robertville, South Africa, has had a number of injection moulded polyurethane knee-high safety boots certified for the European market by SATRA. Most recently, the company’s style 205 boot has been tested and an EC type-examination certificate issued showing compliance with European and international safety standard EN ISO 20347:2012.
Wayne Plastics is a division of Feltex Holdings’ industrial footwear division. It is said to have a modern manufacturing plant capable of producing more than 50,000 pairs of injection-moulded boots per week.
The majority of Wayne Plastics’ boots are supplied to the local market, with most wearers working in mines. However, a growing proportion of the production is supplied to such international markets as Argentina, Australasia, Brazil, Chile, China, Cuba, Europe, Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and the UK. African customers include Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe and SA Customs Union neighbours.
