Clarks has a new chairman
New Clarks Chairman Thomas O’Neill was previously a non-executive director on the board.
The Clarks footwear group has appointed Thomas O’Neill as its new chairman. Mr O’Neill, who was a non-executive member of the Clarks board, has replaced Peter Davies in the role.
Mr O’Neill was previously chief executive of New York jewellery retailer Harry Winston and president of the Harry Winston Diamond Corporation between 2004 and 2010. Before this, he was worldwide president for luxury brand Burberry for three years from 2001. He has also held senior roles at LVMH, Marc Jacobs and Tiffany & Co.
“We are delighted to appoint Thomas to the role of chairman,” said Melissa Potter, Clarks chief executive. “His extensive experience working with global retail brands in the US, Europe and Asia, combined with his in-depth knowledge of the Clarks business make him a natural choice.”
