US-based chemicals producer DuPont has announced that it has achieved most of its sustainability objectives – ahead of the 2015 schedule. After first setting the goals in 2006, the company has managed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 25 per cent – above the plan to cut them by 15 per cent before 2015. According to DuPont, its global water usage has dropped by 12 per cent. The company has also earned $2 billion in revenue from products designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and almost $12 billion from products that are based on non-depletable resources. The company operates from some 70 locations around the world.
