SATRA research open day

A chance to visit SATRA and see how our research team is working to help member companies.

SATRA has contributed to many great advances in the footwear industry for more than 90 years thanks to its commitment to innovative research. This commitment continues to benefit many sectors of industry that now form our member base. Work includes the assessment of pioneering materials and products, as well as assisting with the enhancement of their performance attributes, the optimisation of production and processing capabilities and helping companies to meet environmental legislation. As a result, our research team helps members to introduce new and groundbreaking products rapidly to market and can thus give a company the competitive edge.

Our invitation to you

We will be holding a SATRA research open day in the UK in June, and are pleased to extend an invitation for you to attend. The programme will include a series of short presentations in the morning about SATRA and the way in which the organisation works.

The main aim of the day is to provide workshops for small groups of delegates who will have the opportunity to learn about SATRA’s research tools, products and advancements. These include our 3-D services, analysis tools and foot scanning, bespoke machinery, thermal properties, SATRA Pedatron, gait and water resistance. The workshops will also include demonstrations of the Pedatron and SATRA water resistance test methods to highlight some of the projects on which the research team are working.
