Warm winter hurts Turkish shoemakers
Some parts of Turkey have experienced average winter temperatures up to 15ºC higher than normal, and this has apparently affected footwear sales. According to the Turkish footwear manufacturers’ association, sales of winter shoes and boots were 50 per cent lower than in the previous year.
