Hotter appoints Alan White as chairman
Alan White becomes chairman of a footwear manufacturer with a portfolio of retail stores.
UK-based footwear producer Hotter has announced the appointment of Alan White as the company’s new chairman. He currently holds non-executive directorships at both Direct Wines and Topps Tiles and was recently chief executive of N Brown.
According to Peter Taylor, chief executive of Hotter, Mr White brings a wealth of home shopping experience, as well as direct knowledge of retail and international expansion.
Founded in 1959 as a slipper manufacturer, Hotter now offers a collection of women’s and men’s shoes and claims to be the UK’s largest shoe producer. The company employs some 1,000 people in its head office, production facility, retail stores and call centre.
