Deckers tests new sales approaches
Deckers Outdoor Corporation has opened an 8,000 square foot ‘Brand Showcase’ store at its new headquarters in California. According to the company, this flagship location – which will carry all the company’s brands – provides an environment for Deckers to display its core heritage footwear and seasonal offerings while serving as a laboratory where new technologies and merchandising approaches can be assessed.
Part of the purpose for this new store is for Deckers to listen better to customer feedback, make product and service adjustments more efficiently and heighten the overall shopping experience in an interactive retail environment. The company claims that this will help to drive innovation in how footwear, apparel and accessories are displayed, marketed and delivered to consumers.
