Shoemakers gather at Sichuan University

SATRA chief executive Austin Simmons recently took part in an international internship exchange week organised by Sichuan University in Chengdu, China. During the visit, Mr Simmons visited a number of footwear manufacturers and met with representatives of the University to promote SATRA and discuss mutual opportunities. In addition, he presented the lecture ‘Design considerations critical to the safety of women’s shoes’, to recent graduates, students and representatives from the Chinese women’s footwear manufacturing associations. The audience also included a number of major domestic brands based in Chengdu and the surrounding area, as well as from Wenzhou.
