SATRA speaker at Mexican exhibition
SATRA’s Maria Sanchez gave a presentation on innovation and whole shoe testing.
ANPIC is one of largest footwear exhibitions in Latin America, and is viewed by many companies as a valuable opportunity to make contact with the Mexican footwear industry. The recent 44th edition – held in the city of León – attracted exhibitors from 25 countries. The fair is also used as a showcase by suppliers of leather to the furniture and automotive trades, two industry sectors which, together with footwear, have seen considerable increase in recent years.
SATRA was invited for a second year by the organising committee to both exhibit and make a presentation at the three-day event. Various international companies which source from the region were attracted to the SATRA stand, as were local producers and fellow exhibitors. The SATRA presentation on innovation and whole shoe testing was delivered by Maria Sanchez, who explained the reasons behind and the importance of testing footwear. The seminar was well attended and resulted in considerable interest from a number of companies working in the footwear supply chain.
