SATRA reports a successful 2014

Last year saw another significant growth in European Notified Body certification work for SATRA, with an increase of its CE marking business by over 30 per cent, compared to the previous 12 months.

“PPE testing and certification is an important part of our work,” confirmed SATRA chief executive, Austin Simmons. “SATRA is one of Europe’s foremost Notified Bodies and the number of EC type-examination certificates issued to clients continues to grow significantly year-on-year. We believe this reflects the confidence manufacturers have in using SATRA to test and certify their products, and the global recognition and integrity of our brand.”

A SATRA EC type-examination certificate enables holders to CE mark their personal protective equipment (PPE) products and is acceptable in all European Economic areas covered by the European PPE Directive 89/686/ EEC. This includes the 28 EU Member States and EFTA countries.
