VF Asia reaches five-year milestone

In June of this year, VF Asia will reach the milestone of having had a SATRA-accredited laboratory for five years. Part of the VF Corporation, VF Asia makes footwear for Reef, Timberland, The North Face, Vans and a number of other brands.

VF Asia’s footwear laboratory is located in Panyu, Guangzhou, Guangdong, China and serves all VF footwear brands, including Vans, Reef, The North Face and Timberland. This facility began operation in December 2008 and focused on building on the quality of VF products.

“To be able to sustain this, and to raise the ladder of confidence in terms of material testing and quality of material use for VF footwear products, VF management decided to become a member of SATRA, and be a SATRA Accredited Laboratory,” laboratory manager Nila Babia Erazo told SATRA Bulletin. “In June 2010, our laboratory was able to get the accreditation. For five years now, VF Asia footwear laboratory has been proud to be a trusted laboratory by all VF Footwear vendors and VF Corporation as a whole.”
