Positive results from Shanghai show
SATRA and TTE employees staffed the stand during the three days of the event
SATRA once again exhibited at the China International Occupational Safety & Health Goods (CIOSH) exhibition – held this year on 14th - 16th April at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
Supported by the Ministry of Commerce of the Peoples’ Republic of China and sponsored by China’s Textile Commerce Association, CIOSH is one of the largest exhibitions organised in the country. The 2015 event is the 90th time the show has been held, and featured 980 participating companies from around the world showcasing their products and services – including many SATRA members. More than 25,000 visitors attended during the three days of the fair.
This was the second year that the event was held at the new exhibition centre in Pudong, having been extended from three halls last year to four this year due to the ever-increasing demand for display space. The exhibitors were predominantly Chinese manufacturers, but there were many more international companies on show as the realisation of how important this venue has become to the personal protective equipment (PPE) industry.
SATRA’s stand – in Hall W3 was again a shared venture between SATRA and Team Testing Equipment (Shanghai) – SATRA’s authorised equipment distributor in China. It was busy throughout the three days of the exhibition, with visitors showing a keen interest in the testing and certification of PPE. There was also considerable interest in SATRA-manufactured test equipment, especially machines for testing footwear and gloves.
SATRA’s Mike Cooper (global PPE business manager) and China PPE marketing manager Ken Li were present at the show. Visitors to the stand were able to discuss PPE testing and standards, as well as learning about how safety footwear is tested at SATRA’s China facility in Dongguan.
