Stricter control for Turkish leather label
A number of associations representing Turkish tanners, as well as footwear, leather garments and leathergoods manufacturers have joined forces to enforce standards for the ‘Genuine Turkish Leather’ label. Under a new system, companies marketing leather or finished products using the label could be fined up to $250,000 if their product fails to meet quality and environmental practice standards
