Celebrating ten years of the SATRA China Advisory Board

The tenth anniversary meeting of SATRA's China Advisory Board (CAB) was recently held at SATRA’s offices in Dongguan. The members of the Advisory Board are some of the most influential people in the footwear industry, including manufacturers, retailers, academics and experts in the field of testing.

The anniversary meeting began with a light-hearted presentation which highlighted milestones of the last decade, followed by a presentation of the 100th leather grading certificate to Mike Yu of Fujian Province-based Fulgent Sun. SATRA chief executive and chairman of the China Advisory Board, Austin Simmons, also introduced a new SATRA test method – TM446 – which has been developed as a durability test for footwear subjected to mud and silt in wear (click here to read about this new test). Members of the Board were each presented with a commemorative plate which featured their photographs, and the meeting ended with a celebratory dinner at the Wanda Vista hotel in Dongguan.
