India extends import duty on touch-and-close fasteners
The finance ministry of India has decided to extend by one year the anti-dumping duty currently levied on touch-and-close fastener imports from China and Taiwan. This move follows the commerce ministry initiating a second sunset review investigation on imports of such materials. In October 2010, the finance ministry levied a definitive anti-dumping charge of £1.88 ($2.87) per kg on ‘nonwoven fabric’ imports from China. The anti-dumping duty for Taiwanese goods was pegged at £1.15 ($1.75) per kg.
