Under Armour opens third distribution centre
USA-based Under Armour has opened a one million square foot distribution and warehouse facility in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, with the creation of 1,500 jobs being planned over the next five years.
This is the third distribution facility that the company has opened in the USA, joining warehouses in Baltimore, Maryland and in Rialto, California.
The $100 million facility is said to feature an onsite fitness centre for employees, a 12-mile-long conveyor system, automated receiving technology, voice directed picking software and advanced sorting methods.
