Delegates registering for chemical testing seminar
SATRA is taking reservations for its half-day, members-only seminar entitled 'Footwear: an introduction to chemical testing'. The event, to be held at SATRA’s UK headquarters in Kettering on Tuesday 18th October, will include a consideration of routine analysis for restricted substances, as well as basic REACH requirements and an explanation of more complex issues, such as discolouration, mould, odours and methods of prevention.
"Technologists from leading retailers who have attended this seminar in the past have
commented on its usefulness and the relevance of the subject matter to their job roles," commented Martin Heels, SATRA's head of chemical and analytical testing.
The aim of this programme is to provide footwear technologists involved in the supply, manufacture, distribution or retail sectors with a basic understanding of chemical testing requirements, and to introduce testing regimes used at SATRA. In addition to a laboratory tour and demonstrations of tests, there will be an opportunity to interact directly with SATRA staff for individual questions. The seminar will commence at 10am and includes a buffet lunch. Please click here for further information and to reserve your place(s) at this seminar.
