New Rack Room appointment

Brian Burnett joins the North Carolina company in a senior role.

US-based footwear retailer Rack Room Shoes has appointed Brian Burnett to succeed Terry Apple as vice president and general merchandise manager. Described as a 'footwear industry veteran', Mr Burnett brings nearly 20 years of experience in strategy development, category management, merchandising and a variety of marketing skills to his new position. He previously served as vice president, DMM footwear and socks, for Sports Authority, where he had earlier held the role of senior buyer for men’s athletic and lifestyle footwear. At Rack Room Shoes, Mr Burnett will be responsible for the strategy behind the company’s entire merchandising division.
