Footwear reference book to be published

The publication draws on the results of a four-year foot sizing project.

SATRA is currently putting the finishing touches to a major new reference book relating to anthropometric foot sizing data. Reflecting thousands of statistics based on recent measurements of adult foot sizes in three major consumer markets – the UK, USA and China – the work is the culmination of a four-year foot sizing project, utilising three-dimensional foot scanning techniques.

The new publication will provide the average dimensions for a number of demographics against foot length, allowing for re-evaluation of last and fitting guidelines to better reflect that of the modern foot.
