Meramec expands polyurethane system production

The company boots its capacity to develop and manufacture formulated polyurethane footwear systems.

USA-based Meramec recently completed the construction of a 12,000 square foot (1,115 square metre) polyurethane blending systems facility. A family-owned business with roots stretching back to 1952, the company is located in Sullivan, Missouri. The new operation is housed in the same campus as the existing Meramec polyurethane moulding and 'mould tech' production, and increases its capacity to develop and manufacture formulated polyurethane footwear systems. Meramec has expressed its pride in being able to provide 'Made in USA' footwear systems and moulded components for North America-based customers and, according to the company, this expansion allows it to lay equal emphasis on producing material systems and moulded products. Meramec is said to now provide its customers with an increased range of services, which includes product development and mould making, moulded insoles, midsoles and outsoles, and polyurethane systems.
