Under Armour hires investor relations team leader

Lance Allega was recently appointed by USA-based sportswear producer Under Armour as the company's head of investor relations. In his new role, Mr Allega will be responsible for communicating the company's growth strategy, financial performance and plans for building long-term shareholder value to investors and other external audiences. He will work out of Under Armour's global headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland.

Before joining Under Armour, Mr Allega served as head of investor relations and strategic accounts for the VF Corporation in North Carolina and has also held senior management roles at Accenture, Nike, Oakley and Sony. He brings some two decades of experience in investor relations, finance, operations and brand management to his new employers. He holds a BA degree in economics from the University of California and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
