Under Armour hires innovation officer
Sportswear producer Under Armour has appointed Clay Dean as chief innovation officer. He arrives at Under Armour following two decades with General Motors, where he most recently served as head of its global advanced design division.
One of Mr Dean’s key roles will be to drive Under Armour’s strategy and global vision for innovation, while overseeing collaboration between the company’s category management, internal design, marketing and product management teams.
Kevin Haley, Under Armour’s president of category management acknowledged what he called Mr Dean’s ‘deep roots in design, manufacturing and innovation’, describing them as critical to guiding how the company manufactures and delivers products in the future.
