General Shoes gains laboratory and technician accreditation
Taiwanese-owned General Shoes has a factory based on the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Following a fire that damaged much of its production facilities, the plant was rebuilt to incorporate state-of-the-art air movement facilities for better worker comfort. When complete, the factory will have capacity for 19 footwear production lines. The company’s laboratory recently achieved SATRA accreditation, and several members of its laboratory team reached the standard of SATRA accredited technician.
General Shoes was founded in 2001 and mainly produces safety shoes and outdoor shoes for a number of international brand owners. The company currently employs some 5,500 workers.
