KEEN Footwear to run women’s fitness sessions
TrailFit sessions will take participants through a diversity of terrains.
To celebrate the launch of its new ‘Terradora’ women’s sports shoe, US outdoor footwear producer KEEN has begun to host a series of free consumer TrailFit sessions across the UK. The programme is said to have been developed specifically for women by the company’s ‘Team TrailFit’ – a group of qualified female fitness trainers and leading adventure athletes.
The trails will take the participants along urban towpaths and heathland trails, as well as through city parks and suburban woodlands. According to the organisers, the diversity of terrain offers a multitude of benefits for fitness, vitality and health, decreasing tension and boosting energy.
KEEN’s Spring 2017 TrailFit sessions kicked off on London’s Southbank on 1st April, with other sessions being held in the West End, Hampstead Heath, Epping Forest and Covent Garden, as well as in the city of Bristol. A TrailFit event at the Keswick Mountain Festival in June will be led by KEEN Ambassador and adventure athlete Laura Kennington. KEEN states that further events are due to be announced during the spring and summer months. TrailFit sessions run for approximately one hour and are said to be suitable for all fitness levels. All events are open to women aged 18-plus.
