SATRA CAB meets in Dongguan

The 24th meeting of SATRA's China Advisory Board (CAB) was recently held at SATRA's China office. Some of the most influential people in the footwear industry were in attendance, including manufacturers, suppliers and test experts.

During the event, SATRA’s China office general manager Liam Donnelly presented an update on SATRA’s business in China, and gave details of the extension to the Dongguan office, which is located on Hongweilu in the city’s Nancheng district. This redevelopment has provided extra office space to allow for growth of the SATRA team in China. In addition, the reception area has been relocated and now looks out onto Hongweilu.

CAB chairman Austin Simmons then explained about a newly developed SATRA test method for assessing footwear rotational slip and mud slip, and SATRA’s China laboratory manager John Reed demonstrated its new testing facilities. The meeting ended with a lunch in an Italian restaurant, to which all the board members were invited. The next CAB meeting will be held in November 2017 at Dalang HKSTC.
