Vibram takes soles to the people
The company’s new vehicle is equipped with everything required for shoe repairs.
When shoes are sent to Vibram USA for repair, they are given to Gino Conti and Refugio Contreras-Dominguez – the company’s cobblers. This summer, they will leave their repair shop in Warwick, New York State and become mobile on Vibram’s ‘Sole Factor Tour’. The company has bought a recreational vehicle and equipped it with everything needed to perform repairs, including sanding booths, glue stations and all available styles of Vibram soles. There is no charge for the first sole, with additional soles costing $50 each. The travelling cobblers will work on all types of footwear, including high heels, work boots and running shoes.
