London College of Fashion students visit SATRA
A group of students from the London College of Fashion (LCF) recently visited SATRA’s Kettering headquarters to see how footwear is assessed. Following a tour of the test laboratories, SATRA’s Christine Powley-Williams and James Corton presented information on risk assessment, product development and footwear production. The party, led by course leader Lindsey Riley, was primarily made up from design students on footwear, leathergoods and accessories courses.
The LCF’s main campus is on John Prince's Street, just north of Oxford Street – the capital’s most famous retail location. The college is a constituent college of the University of the Arts London, and offers undergraduate, postgraduate, short courses, overseas study courses and business training in fashion, make-up, beauty therapy and lifestyle industries. It is said to be the only college in Britain which specialises in fashion education, research and consultancy.
