SATRA to hold footwear testing open day
The event will highlight the importance of footwear testing.
An event has been organised by SATRA to provide delegates with information about the importance of testing footwear, the legislation behind the reasons for testing and the key properties assessed. To be held on Wednesday 21st March 2018 in Kettering, UK, this open day is for both SATRA members and non-members, and will particularly benefit manufacturers, sourcing companies and retailers of all types of footwear and materials. It is ideal for newly-appointed members of staff, as well as more experienced technologists and buyers.
Presentations will cover a number of topics during the day, including whole shoe tests and the assessment of slip resistance, heel attachment, adhesive bonds, colour and light fastness, water resistance, and trims and fasteners. After the concluding session, delegates are invited to stay to discuss any particular issues they may have in private with one of SATRA’s experts. A buffet lunch is included.
