New members join SATRA
Dongguan-based Golden Wolfe Footwear is a fast-growing trading company which provides private label and made to order direct sourcing solutions to many fashion retailers around the world. Its owners Will Simpson and Luke Mance have decided to take up SATRA membership, and met with the testing organisation’s chief executive Austin Simmons during his recent trip to China. Although a young company, members of the senior management team are from long-established Australian shoemaking families, and therefore have considerable experience within the footwear industry.
Another company that has recently taken up SATRA membership is Wenzhou Yimaida Shoes Co Ltd. Headquartered in Wenzhou City, Wenzhou Yimaida was established in 1989 to offer product design, development and manufacture of men’s and children’s shoes. Today, Wenzhou Yimaida is a Sino-foreign joint-venture enterprise with 3,000 employees, 11 production lines and an annual production capability of six million pairs with customers in China, Europe, the Middle East, Russia and the USA. A spokesperson said that the company ‘actively makes a life-study environment for employees, provides aids for them to realise self-value, enhances the team harmony and creation power and creates a learning-type enterprise’.
