Under Armour appoints new European head
Sportswear producer Under Armour has named Massimo Baratto as vice president and managing director of its business in Europe. The appointment is said to be part of the company’s focus on international business growth. Prior to joining Under Armour, he served as chief executive of Italy-based outdoor group Oberalp. This group owns the Dynafit ski-boot brand and alpine footwear brand Salewa, and acts as an international distributor for Under Armour, Speedo and Fischer. Mr Baratto will be responsible for driving brand awareness, profitable growth and developing strategic partnerships around the continent.
