Vibram opens new US office

Vibram solings are used by a number of footwear manufacturers

Soling technology provider Vibram has opened a new office in Portland, Oregon. The aim of this new facility is to serve the company’s existing customers in the US Northwest and to stimulate new business opportunities throughout the western part of the country.

“We are proud to make Portland our newest Vibram home,” said chief executive Mike Gionfriddo. “Portland’s proximity to some of our largest partners and an ecosystem of mountain and action sports companies makes it an ideal location and primary market of opportunity for Vibram.”

Industry veteran Joel Enderle will head the Portland office. He has over three decades of experience in branded footwear product development, and will oversee project management and product innovation. Soling designer Robert Lee will lead the design team.

“Beyond just supporting our footwear partners or hunting for new business in the west, Vibram intends to play an active role in the Portland business community,” stated Mr Enderle. “We plan to devote significant resources to further develop Vibram’s presence here and in the west.”
