SATRA welcomes visiting fashion students
Students from the London College of Fashion (LCF) recently visited SATRA’s Kettering headquarters to learn about the assessment of footwear. Following a tour of the test laboratories, SATRA’s John Hubbard and Mark Southam presented information on footwear production, product development and risk assessment. The party, led by course leader Lindsey Riley, was primarily made up from design students on footwear, leathergoods and accessories courses.
The LCF’s main campus is on John Prince's Street, just north of Oxford Street – the capital’s most famous retail location. The college is a constituent college of the University of the Arts London, and offers undergraduate, postgraduate, short courses, overseas study courses and business training in fashion, make-up, beauty therapy and lifestyle industries. It is said to be the only college in Britain which specialises in fashion education, research and consultancy.
