The company's footwear collection has been designed for a number of outdoor activities.
USA-based sportswear producer Columbia has reported sales of almost $1.1 billion (£849.4 million) for the first six months of 2018. This represents an increase of 13 per cent over the same period year-on-year. The company’s net income on this result was $54.8 million (42.3 million) – a 124 per cent growth compared to 2017.
”Our better than expected second quarter and record first half results reflect continued momentum across our brand portfolio,” said Columbia president and chief executive Tim Boyle. “Our first-half revenue surpassed the one-billion-dollar mark for the first time in company history.”
The Columbia range of clothing and accessories includes footwear for a variety of outdoor applications, such as trail running, hiking and fishing, as well as sandals, casual shoes and winter boots.
