Expansion within SATRA’s China office

Introducing new members of the Dongguan-based team.

Over the past two years, there has been a considerable growth in SATRA’s China office – particularly in the areas of testing and laboratory accreditation. With many SATRA members driving for improvements in quality throughout their Asian supply chain, a number of new laboratories have recently joined the SATRA Laboratory Accreditation programme. Testing has also seen an increase in volume following the expansion in the range of assessments offered by the Dongguan facility. As a result of this growth, a number of new faces have appeared in the SATRA China team, as shown in the accompanying photographs.

Originally opened in 2012, SATRA’s Hongwei Road office was enlarged a year later by the acquisition of an adjacent property. The Dongguan facility includes a fully equipped footwear testing laboratory and large training rooms.

A number of large delegations from member companies have visited SATRA’s China office since its establishment. This has provided the opportunity for SATRA experts to explain about the assistance that can be provided to Chinese members, including laboratory testing, sales and calibration of test equipment, laboratory accreditation and management systems. Each year, SATRA holds a series of technical seminars in Dongguan covering key issues affecting the footwear industry.
