Marking decades of service at SATRA
Acknowledging current long-serving members of the SATRA team.
SATRA’s members of staff have, quite correctly, often been described as its main asset. Since its birth in 1919, the organisation has had many loyal and dedicated employees who have used their skills, talents and experience to establish SATRA’s international reputation, develop its scientific knowledge and understanding, and grow the diversity of its services for a wide variety of key industries.
In this centenary year, SATRA has a considerable number of current staff members who have each given at least 25 years of service to the organisation – in fact, the complete group has accrued an amazing 801 years of SATRA employment between them!
Most of these long-serving employees were able to gather for the photograph on this page to mark their achievement and contribution to SATRA’s success. Three have now reached over four decades of service: Mark Southam and Ray Wisken (both having joined SATRA 41 years ago) and Mike Wilson (with 40 years of service). Not far behind are fifteen other members of the team now in their third decade of employment at SATRA.
The photograph above shows the majority of SATRA’s long-serving employees – seated from left: Denise McAllister, Mark Southam, Phil Shaw and Mike Wilson. Front row, standing: Nicola Mayne and Pete Doughty. Standing at back, from left: Phil Bates, Jane Porter, Ray Wisken, Tim Hickling, Tom Bayes, Geraint Husk, Dave McKeown, Mark Burnett, David Wright, Paul Reeves, Mike George, Nick Meads, Matt Roswell, Darren Roberts, Jez Hazard and Sue Baddiley.
