SATRA visit to Indonesia
Members of the SATRA team recently travelled to Indonesia to visit member companies and exhibit at the Indonesian Leather and Footwear Expo.
SATRA showcased its suite of productivity efficiency systems during the three days of the exhibition in Jakarta. Visitors to the SATRA stand were keen to learn of the benefits of SATRASumm and SATRA TimeLine, with the first view of the all-new SATRA VisionStitch system – which will be fully launched later this year – also creating considerable interest among members and non-members alike. Mike Winters (SATRA’s representative for Indonesia) and stitching expert Ray Wisken demonstrated the systems at the show.
The SATRA VisionStitch system has been completely re-written, and now includes many new features to help a workforce to use the program efficiently, while analysing stitching machines and improving the performance of their stitching process.
Meeting the members
The visit to the Jakarta fair also provided a good opportunity to visit a number of SATRA members and interested parties to introduce SATRA’s services and products, as well as to highlight the value of these systems. Mike will soon be returning to Indonesia to follow up these contacts and to introduce himself to many more SATRA members around the country.
SATRA has over 50 members of varying sizes in Indonesia, and these are offered such benefits as laboratory accreditation, the testing of personal protective equipment (PPE), production efficiency systems and assistance with leather grading.
During the visits, the new SATRA VisionStitch system was on hand to be shown if required. These demonstrations enabled management from the member companies to see how it could help their production processes to improve in the future.
Henny – co-owner of PT Venamon, remarked: “It was a great demo on how consistency produces a more productive outcome and what’s great about it is that we can see it in real time.”
Her sister Lenny added: “I think the great thing about VisionStitch is the visualisation when we can see the data. Movement as well as calculation on screen makes it easier for us to convince our people to change.”
