MICAM to showcase sports shoes for first time

MICAM promises to draw attention to the most interesting sports shoes on the market.

Having long been the place to see the latest in fashion footwear, the Milan-based MICAM show is branching into sports shoes. According to the event organisers, the next edition – to be held on 15th to 18th September – will include a special area called ‘Players District’, which will feature leading sporting goods brand owners, and ‘The Arena’, described as ‘a lively space with amazing performers’.

Such an inclusion within this internationally-renowned trade fair makes sense – sports and outdoor activity footwear is now well established as a trendy, lifestyle item, as well as being worn in competition and when training. The sports shoe area in hall 7 is being marketed as providing a preview of the most interesting products on the market, in a space designed both to spotlight the wide variety of products offered by international brand owners and reflect the dynamism of the most exhilarating sporting events.
