ID marking

It is recommended that all cut sections of uppers and finished uppers – whether synthetic, textile or leather – are clearly marked to aid production and maintain quality.

One of the most common causes of delay in the stitching room is caused by vital components missing or being of the wrong colour, shade or size. In the lasting room, increased numbers of rejects are likely if this important operation has not been correctly carried out. This article will examine various methods of ID marking, used primarily to control quality and to avoid costly delays and mistakes during manufacture.
