Pakistani shoemakers explore Australian market
Pakistan’s Trade Development Authority (TDAP) is to investigate opportunities to sell the country’s footwear and leather products in Australia, with a delegation being sent to the forthcoming International Sourcing Expo in Melbourne. According to the TDAP, this is seen as an excellent opportunity to showcase Pakistani products and develop international business. Pakistan produces a wide range of footwear for both its domestic and export markets. This includes motorcycle boots, men’s and women’s fashion shoes, sports footwear, sandals, safety boots and children’s shoes. Many international brand owners and domestic retailers source footwear from Pakistan, and the country’s leathermakers export to many nations and continents around the world.
