Traditional leathergoods, such as belts, wallets, purses, and handbags have today been joined by other modern products, including business card holders and mobile phone cases. These can be of high value and differ greatly in terms of finish, dyeing or colouring. While these items are often made from genuine leather, the term ‘leathergoods’ also encompasses items made from a number of synthetic leatherlike materials.
